This contest is a bit different. Instead of a writing contest, this time we are looking for an inspirational, fun, and/or exciting cover image for the Third Annual Fiction Anthology, due out in July, 2013. The Anthology features the winning entries in both our Fiction in Five and Genre-Writing contests. If you are an artist, or you know one, this might just be the contest for you. Winning images will be published on the front cover of the Anthology in full color. Winners will also receive 80% of the entry fees, so the more entries, the bigger the prize pool. Here is how this contest will work:
Entries will be accepted starting now up to June 1, 2013. All images entered in the contest will be published on this Website from June 1 to July 1, 2013 where anyone can come in and vote for their favorite. The image with the most votes will win and be published on the cover of the Anthology. The winner’s bio and photo will appear inside the book, along with website, blog or other contact information.
Specifications for the images:
- Original work only
- Can be serious, humorous, or even cartoon, but must have a writing theme
- Size: 4″ x 4″
- Full color or black & white, your choice
- Scanned (4″x4″ image only, no borders) and saved as .jpg
- Submitted as an attachment to: janiewrites@gmail.com
- Entry fee: $5.00
